PetroChina Inches its Way into North American Energy Security

PetroChina takes $1.9-billion stake in oil sands

This is not good for Alaska...

AP says Sarah Palin to travel to Asia next month

The Associated Press is reporting that former governor Sarah Palin will journey to Asia in September:
The former Alaska governor will visit Hong Kong to address the CLSA Investors Forum, a well-known annual conference of global investment managers, the host announced Monday.

Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Alan Greenspan have spoken at the event, hosted by brokerage and investment group CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets.
A statement from CLSA spokeswoman Simone Wheeler read, in part:
"We just felt it would be a fabulous opportunity for CLSA clients to hear from Mrs. Palin," Wheeler said, adding that CLSA approached Palin with the offer.

She said the conference aimed to present investors "a diversity of views that potentially influence decision-makers who help shape the markets."

The Sept. 23 address will mark Palin's first commercial speaking engagement, according to CLSA. Her speaking fees were not disclosed.

It will be closed to the media, and the topic has not yet been confirmed.
Excuse us, AP, but we will have to wait for confirmation from Gov. Palin or someone authorized to speak for her before we take this one to the bank. You know how optimistic some event organizers can be.

Businessweek quotes another CLSA spokeswoman, however, who gave assurances:
"It’s confirmed. She will be a speaker at our forum."
Still, we will have to wait for Sarah's people to confirm or deny, which they tend to do only when contacted and asked directly about a specific event. "Getting out front" on a story doesn't appear to be a high priority for the Palin organization. As they say, watch this space...

Meanwhile, the CLSA corporate website is here.

Is McCain Lying About the use of Torture?

In a CNN/Time article, it is alleged that McCain knew about sleep deprivation being used.

U.S. Senator John McCain, a torture survivor from his days as a captive during the Vietnam War, says his private comments about harsh interrogation methods were misrepresented by the Bush Administration in a recently released legal document intended to justify a six-day-long course of sleep deprivation for one CIA detainee in November of 2007.

Can we add McCain to the growing list of liars in Congress?

NEW SWINE FLU MUTATION 'FAR MORE DEADLY'

NEW SWINE FLU MUTATION 'FAR MORE DEADLY'

SWINE flu has been discovered in birds, prompting fears that a more dangerous and easily transmitted strain will emerge.

Health experts last night confirmed that the H1N1 pig flu virus has infected turkeys. It is the first case of H1N1 in birds.

Scientists warned the outbreak in poultry could lead to a deadly flu outbreak if it mixes with lethal avian flu.

Tests have shown sick turkeys at two farms in Chile were struck down with the swine flu virus that has caused a pandemic in humans.

Britain’s leading flu expert, Professor John Oxford, said: “The last thing we want is a universal virus that goes everywhere.

Here is what I have been saying on the matter.

Jesse Griffin aka Sigmund Freud is Doing Some Kwazy Analyzing (Update)

Words of advice for Jesse Griffin. Stick to your schtick in your headline.

Example: The Immoral Minority.. Don't give out moral advice or take the moral high ground when you label yourself immoral.

Also leave the analyzing of behavioral problems to the blogs that can analyze the Kwazy stuff.

Like when Geoffrey Dunn had Cognitive Interruptus

And he had a Temper Tantrum

And one of the best analysis (Sigmund Freud would be proud) on Dunn: Geoffrey Plays Bristol's Daddy

The Rorschach test produced an interesting comment:

Calypso Dreams said...
I don't know what type of crystal meth you're on, but this has got to be the biggest distortion of anything I've ever written in my life. But let me just make two points and then you can go oil up your shotgun: 1) In the Fox interview with Bristol, the Governor comes in and AGREES with her daughter about abstinence. There's your 'Mommy Dearest' moment.I don't make this stuff up. 2) I just saw the Ann Coulter interview where she says that Bristol should put her child "UP FOR ADOPTION." Where's the Governor's response to THAT? Where's your response to THAT? Dude, the silence is deafening. I have three beautiful children so I certainly don't need anymore. Stay on the road with that new truck of yours. I don't think you can handle the off-the-road terrain.

And (third and last and) Jesse Griffin aka Sigmund Freud points to Geoffrey pointing to Palin's obsession of Obama?

Is there a psychiatrist in this asylum? Calling Dr. Google....

It seems Dr. Google has come up with a diagnoses of Geoffery Dunn projecting his own traits onto Sarah Palin.

Moreover, from his Mommy Dearest moment, Dunn had this to say:

I've written more than two dozen pieces on Palin since she was picked to ride shotgun with John McCain.

Psychology. a. the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself, or to regard external reality as embodying such feelings, thoughts, etc., in some way.

b. Psychoanalysis. such an ascription relieving the ego of a sense of guilt or other intolerable feeling.

It seems according to the Huffington Post's standard on obsessive behavior, Dunn has gone from overly obsessive to being madly in love with Sarah Palin.

Update:

It seems there is more obsessive behavior coming from the Huffington Post. Marcus Baram has his own video highlights of Sarah Palin..

Hollis French and Who's Bob Poe: Palling Around With Trig Troofers

It was back in August of 2008 that the story begins on the Trig Troofers.

The stupid carpet bombing started with Daily Kos (General Shannyn Moore was still a private back then and didn't know the meaning over the target and flak) soon to be shot down with AAA.

From my wingman Josh Painter.

Now we are here today to pay homage to the Trig Troofers who continue to march on with their truth that Trig is not Todd and Sarah Palin's son.

The Trig Troofers continue to march on, but with a few more marchers in the crowd and they be Hollis French and Bob Poe.

I am going to be very transparent with what the meaning of this thread is all about and how it will expand.

You know how some in the Mainstream media are trying to attach the "Birthers" to Palin and how the so called nut cases gravitate to her?

They haven't seen anything yet when it comes to those who Hollis French and Bob Poe hang out with. And quite frankly, those who support Obama.

The stealth bombers are fueled and loaded. The targets have been briefed. And there ain't no way Bob Poe and Hollis French can escape the collateral damage.

Note to General Shannyn Moore et al: It's Hard for Palin to Write a Book When She is Having a Nervous Breakdown

Just in case you haven't heard, Palin is writing a book.

Contrary to what the left nut roots want to throw out there via innuendo and rumor via the Star/Globe/Shannyn Moore network.

Me thinks a nice place along the East Coast near ghost writers is the proper location.

Mrs. Devon, keep playing the mooosey pictures of Who's Bob Poe over and over again, they make nice pictures for campaign literature for a 2010 governor candidate.

How about a nice Howard Dean scream?

A picture of Shannyn Moore:

Caption this: Shannyn Moore's look when she finds out that her saving Private Griffin moment comes back to haunt (CAN YOU SAY BIRTHERS X 2) their group during the 2010 governor's race in Alaska.

Shannyn, target aquired, bombs away... Direct hit...

As they say, politics is local...

Rainforest Network: A Socialist Network

Kudos to Glenn Beck on investigating greenhouse gas Czar, Van Jones.

I'll keep this very simple.

Van Jones was a former member of the Rainforest Network...

The Rainforest Network falls under the larger environmentalist organization, National Resources Defense Council

You will find a windbag at the Huffington Post who was part of the environmental conglomerate.

In Alaska you can see how the National Resources Defense Council has operated in Alaska, to include past member of the Alaska Rainforest Campaign and editor of the Anchorage Daily News, Matt Zencey.

Moreover, you can see how the National Resources Defense Council has brought a lawsuit against the development of the Keystone Pipeline project that goes through North Dakota.

And then there should be a shout out to Students (Socialists) for a Democratic Society and Rainforest member Joshua Russell.

Students like him are not shy about their groups efforts.

And last but not least, a shout out should go to George Soros for pulling millions of dollars out of ConocoPhillps and investing it somewhere else. Should it surprise you that ConocoPhillips is partnered with B.P. on the Denali Pipeline project in Alaska?

And now Conoco has delayed its FERC permitting another year?

Again Kudos to Glenn for his work....

Obama Throws Eastern Europe Under the Bus

Obama jilts Poland and the Czech Republic

The United States is poised to dump a critical missile-defense agreement with two of its most dependable NATO allies. The Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza reported yesterday that the Obama administration is going to scrap the "third site" anti-missile system scheduled to be deployed in Poland and the Czech Republic. Missile interceptors in Poland and a radar station in the Czech Republic were scheduled to be deployed by 2013. Now the plan appears to have been shot down.

America's Great White Hope: Keith Olbermann (Update With Mrs. Devon's Glenn Beck Death Watch)

The proof that Olbermann is America's Great Hope is in his ratings....

Big Beck: Goes over 3 million viewers, beats O’Reilly in demo: Cable News Ratings for Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Posted on 27 August 2009 by Robert Seidman

Though a little scandal might alienate advertisers, it’s pure ratings gold. Last night Glenn Beck had over 3 million viewers at 5pm, second only to O’Reilly for the night. But, Beck had more 25-54 viewers than O’Reilly (888K to 876K). I don’t watch or really even care about the cable news wars, but still…wow. Even though Beck airs before primetime, when there are fewer people watching TV, he had the most 25-54 viewers in the cable news world for the night.

(...)

5PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
Glenn Beck– 3,040,000 viewers (888,000) (1,385,000)
Situation Room—688,000 viewers (141,000) (271,000)
Hardball w/ Chris Matthews—536,000 viewers (139,000) (217,000)
Fast Money—215,000 viewers (55,000) (80,000)
Prime News–267,000 viewers (97,000) (109,000)

8PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
The O’Reilly Factor– 3,303,000 viewers (876,000) (1,468,000)
Teddy: In His Own Words- 1,104,000 viewers (293,000) (547,000)
Countdown w/ K. Olbermann– 1,091,000 viewers (320,000) (504,000)
Secrets of the Knight – 181,000 viewers (68,000) (95,000)
Nancy Grace – 757,000 viewers (239,000) (315,000)

And just to piss Jesse Griffin off, I'll post his link on Olbermann here, because I know he has been getting traffic from the previous thread I posted.

Update:

You know it really must be bugging the left when anything Palin is linked to is successful.

Case in Point, Mrs. Devon.

Me thinks, Mrs. Devon is watching the wrong person when it comes to falling on their sword.

Maybe MSNBC perhaps?

Paging Bob Poe and Hollis French: Is Jesse Griffin Hiding Under White Sheets?

I will say one thing that I agree with Jesse Griffin on. And that is, the term Great White Hope finds its place in the oddest places.

I wonder if Jesse would care to argue with a black man about the topic? A black preacher who praised Bill Clinton and probably voted for him....

It is evident Jesse does not live in a city where blacks are a majority or owns a home in a predominately black neighborhood, let's say like Detroit.

Jesse likes to point fingers at people in the GOP who make idiotic comments when they come from the GOP, but it seems he is hiding under white sheets when he is doing the finger pointing.

Someone should ask Jesse whatever happened to this from the Huffington Post: Clinton: Not Exactly the Great White Hope

Were Hillary Clinton the great rural white savior that her campaign is depicting, she would have had this thing wrapped up in, say, Iowa, or a couple of weeks after that. Her inability to dispatch a presidential neophyte such as Barack Obama in a Democratic primary is precisely because, after alienating African-American voters beyond her comprehension, she wasn't able to convince white voters in places from Virginia to Idaho that she could be trusted to lead the country.

Jesse seems to forget racism plays out in all forms of colors..

Since Jesse is so fond of Jon Stewart, here is a good one.

One should never trust a comedian that may be hiding under white sheets, because you have to go and see how people felt about Clinton's comments:

Better yet, what about the Jews. Jesse seems to have forgotten about them. How much time did Olbermann spend on the topic? Not much and he gave Obama a pass.

And he wants to somehow make a connection with Sarah Palin? Hardly, he should be focused on the racist sentiment found within the liberal mindset that is connected with Obama's own racism.

More campaign material for Hollis French and Who's Bob Poe? You betcha, they hang-out with some interesting characters.

Whoops! Cash For Clunkers Payments Are Taxable!

On Eddie Burke's show Tuesday, I referenced this article: Whoops! Cash For Clunkers Payments Are Taxable!

Interesting that in some states, you can get hit with a state tax on the $4500.00. And there is the question that dealers may be liable for federal taxes on the $4500.00 because it could be considered income.

Alaska's Big Wildlife is Safe for the Moment: The Liberal Fruit Fly Infestation has Been Temporarily Ababted

Sadly, it took Senator Kennedy's death to abate a natural disaster here in Alaska.

The infestation of the liberal fruit fly has been temporarily abated.

WASHINGTON — A U.S. Senate tour of Alaska's climate change hot spots has been postponed so that senators may attend the funeral of their Democratic colleague, Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts.

However, due to the death of Senator Kennedy, the Democrats have taken it upon themselves to politicize the death of Senator Kennedy, by pushing for an early passage of a health care bill in his name.

"Ted Kennedy's dream of quality health care for all Americans will be made real this year because of his leadership and his inspiration," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a statement.

I don't think the American people really care about Kennedy's dream on health care.

This is another blow back waiting....

Patriot Games: National Security vs. Obama Politics

This issue on the investigation and prosecution of the CIA, will have only one effect in the end; Obama will lose more popularity.

When the water boarding issue comes to full light and it is found no deaths were caused by its use, Obama politics versus national security will be the battle cry.

Point blank, the left will be scrambling to find a cause. When it comes to water boarding, there will be no sympathy for Obama's politics held by the majority of Americans.

And as John Conyer's popularity wanes, his rally cry for investigations will be looked at as a waste of time in the 2010 election.

In the Wall Street Journal, a very good read on the topic can be found here.

Just a taste of what was written:

The most revealing portion of the IG report documents the program's results. The CIA's "detention and interrogation of terrorists has provided intelligence that has enabled the identification and apprehension of other terrorists and warned of terrorist plots planned for the United States and around the world." That included the identification of Jose Padilla and Binyam Muhammed, who planned to detonate a dirty bomb, and the arrest of previously unknown members of an al Qaeda cell in Karachi, Pakistan, designated to pilot an aircraft attack in the U.S. The information also made the CIA aware of plots to attack the U.S. consulate in Karachi, hijack aircraft to fly into Heathrow, loosen track spikes to derail a U.S. train, blow up U.S. gas stations, fly an airplane into a California building, and cut the lines of suspension bridges in New York.

Does Warren Buffett Invest by the Stars When it Comes to the Swine Flu Vaccine?

Flu Pandemic 2009-2010: Boost Your Immune System

[Update August 2009: Unfortunately my prediction came true about there being a flu pandemic this fall and winter. I made that prediction back in January based on astrological, synchronistic, and political factors, and wrote this research note in early March. The swine flu hit the news in April. I am leaving most of this article alone for posterity, except I have improved the section below on dietary changes and boosting the immune system].

Chances are high that there will be a flu pandemic within a year, especially during fall and winter of 2009. Pandemics are worse than epidemics, affecting more people over greater areas (like global or continental).

There are astrological, metaphysical, physical, and political factors indicating that a flu pandemic is likely soon, and why it’s more important than ever to build up your immune system.

In trying to nail down the timeline on when the H1N1 virus was made public, I found this post and I had laughed to myself about the post and the timing of the post.

For the moment, I am digging up and trying to nail down timelines on Warren Buffett's investments in companies developing the flu vaccine and his public statements on those companies.

As for timelines I have found at the moment; Buffett's comments on CNBC Squawk Box about his stock ownership in Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline (March 3rd 2009) and the day before, a well known scientist's posting on(March 2nd 2009) about the H1N1 virus, were made before there was any news on the virus outbreak in Mexico.

So there are some interesting coincidences such as when the first H1N1 virus case emerged in Mexico.

It is believed the date of the first case was in February 2009.

Moreover, keep in mind, GlaxoSmithKline had been awarded the first multimillion dollar contract for the swine flu vaccine, without the company even having the seed strain, according to the World Health Organization's timelines and comments made on the seed strain.

I would think that there may have been information floating around in Mexico and feeding up through the chain to the World Health Organization that there might be a new emerging virus that was spreading before the news about the virus hit the mainstream press.

Paging Hollis French and Bob Poe: Your Entourage has Concerns About Palin's Nervous Breakdown

As you all know, Jesse Griffin, outed the Palins on their never-ending divorce.

Now he has another scoop, Palin is having a nervous breakdown.

If having a nervous breakdown is writing compelling arguments (with footnotes) on Facebook and knocking down Obamacare like she did, where can I get one of those nervous breakdowns?

That sneaky source continues to send out compelling evidence that is continually picked up by the nut roots on the left.

How do I know? Here's Jesse....

Usually I am not a fan of the celebrity gossip either, but in Palin's case I feel it is important to keep tabs on what is happening because she still has the ability to energize a very nutty wing of the conservative party.

And by the way they are the target audience for these tabloids. (I mean look, it outs Oprah as a lesbian and talks about NASCAR. How is that not Sarah Palin's demographic?)

Does this guy ever stop and think about what he says? It's evident who the Globe targets. Jesse tells us ( as Editors at the Globe call out "direct hit").

I think Jesse has his signals crossed up when you consider his followers can read the Globe and like it...

All I have to say is this will make great campaign material for French and Who's Bob Poe?

The Isms of Politics: Palinsim vs. Obamaism

The Isms of Politics: Palinism vs Obamaism

Just recently, Richard Cohen from the Washington Post penned an editorial claiming Sarah Palin was the new McCarthy of today.

The term Cohen used to represent the new McCarthyism was Palinism.

“…Try this on for size: Palinism. What is it? It is an updated version of McCarthyism, which takes its name from the late Sen. Joseph McCarthy, the Wisconsin liar, demagogue and drunk, and means, according to Wikipedia, "reckless, unsubstantiated accusations, as well as demagogic attacks on the character or patriotism of political adversaries." As far as we know, Sarah Palin is not a drunk.”

Cohen went on to cut Palin down by pointing to our own Senator Murkowski and her comments on the use of the term “death panel.”

“…Yet, you can beat the bushes to a fine powder and find only two Republicans of note -- Sens. Johnny Isakson and Lisa Murkowski -- who had the courage or the decency to tell Palin that she doesn't know what she's talking about.”

That was said by Cohen on August 18th . Things change.

While on the Eddie Burke show last Tuesday, off mic in studio, I told Eddie about the Cohen story and he printed off a copy of the editorial, discussed it on air and then interjected his own comments on how Murkowski was wrong and Palin was right.

On Thursday, two days later in a town hall meeting on the topic of ObamaCare, Murkowski put her two cents in on ObamaCare. And when regular folks spoke on the concern of ObamaCare being a hybrid form of a socialized health care system, Murkowski agreed with the concerns of the people.

Murkowski blasts health care plan at Anchorage forum

“…But some in the audience said the government was taking far too much of a bite at once with such a huge overhaul. Others said that the plan smacked of socialism and that's not the kind of country they wanted to live in.”

When you stop and think about a socialized health care system, you will see further in this written soap box, the left has a fascination with isms.

They have a fascination with socialism, communism/marxism and cronyism. And the left are calling out Palinsim as a catch word to diminish Sarah Palin’s criticism of a socialized ObamaCare.

But there is a beauty in town halls; the people who attend them. They agree with Sarah Palin.

Moreover, the only ism in politics that is bi-partisan, is the word criticism and it can be used quite persuasively in the political debate.

Regardless of the ism used.

And last, when you talk about demagogues and drunkards, Cohen is drunk from using demagoguery.

He has a detection device for demagogues.

However, some words of warning on using the demagogues detection device, one should be careful on using it; it could turn into a recipe for disaster ala the Daily Kos chefs.

Demagogue Obama: The Recipe

by The Smoldering Crone

Mon Jan 28, 2008 at 12:20:43 PM PDT
Demagogue: A person, especially and orator or a politician, who gains power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people.

• The Smoldering Crone's diary :: ::
• The fictional Elmer Gantry set the gold standard, and history is dotted with them. Barak Obama is joining their ranks. The recipe is as simple as boiling water. But the longer term impact could be devastating.

1. Take one population that is extremely dissatisfied and unhappy with the status quo.
2. Remind them every time you speak how bad everything is wrong and must be changed.
3. Promise to heal these existing ills.
4. Sprinkle as lightly as possible any detail as to what that the solutions might be or how to go about making change happen. That will spoil the whole recipe.
5. Leave plenty of time for the population to fill in all of the gaps for themselves, making it appear that whatever changes will be made are the same ones that each individual wants. That way everyone will be under the illusion that you want what they want.
6. Serve generously, with lots of dressing, at every opportunity.
This dish is often eaten up readily by the young, but it is astounding how many more mature individuals seem to like it.

Note: This recipe contains no meat

Maybe Richard Cohen would like to chew on that recipe for awhile.

A recipe for disaster flavored with socialism perhaps?

Bon Appetit

If the Ism Fits, Wear It

When one talks about the isms of politics, one should wear it proudly and not hide behind Greek pillars and staged events that seem to have the aura of the snake oil salesman circuit when it comes selling a healthy way of life.

In the case of our President Obama, if his socialist agenda fits, then he should wear the socialism banner proudly. And should we be surprised if he doesn’t? Hell yes.

When it came to spreading the wealth, ala Joe the Plumber, Obama wore the socialist agenda well until the polls showed he could lose.

When it came to sitting in the pews of that God damning America, Rev Wright, McClatchy news wrote about Marxism and Christianity meshing together in Rev. Wright’s church (will the new McCarthyism be; cue drum roll………………..… McClatchyism).

“…WASHINGTON — Jesus is black. Merging Marxism with Christian Gospel may show the way to a better tomorrow. The white church in America is the Antichrist because it supported slavery and segregation.

Those are some of the more provocative doctrines that animate the theology at the core of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Barack Obama's church.

Obama's speech Tuesday on race in America was hailed as a masterful handling of the controversy over divisive sermons by the longtime pastor of Trinity United, the recently retired Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.

But in repudiating and putting in context Wright's inflammatory lines about whites and U.S. foreign policy, the Democratic presidential front-runner didn't address other potentially controversial facts about his church and its ties.”

Should we surprised that Obama doesn’t like to wear marxism? Hell yes.

He wore it for 20 years so why not now? The reason why he didn’t wear it is obvious, the polls showed he was losing.

When it comes exceptional Americanism, our president is always apologizing for America’s misdeeds against foreign countries and fanning the flames of racial tensions by calling out his white grandmother, discounting his mother’s race through his own identification of his own race and then calling a white police officer’s actions stupid and then having a beer summit over the remarks.

Did he ever apologize for his remarks?

Should we be surprised that he doesn’t wear the banner of exceptional Americanism well?

Hell yes, he was born (stirring the pot here and taking a bat to the hornets’ nest) in Hawaii wasn’t he? But the polls did show his criticism was working overseas.

Exceptional Americanism

George Shulman has written a brilliant book that is at once both classic and timely. While offering new and undoubtedly enduring insights on American politics, political rhetoric, and democratic theory, Shulman also ably embraces one of the most enduring tasks of political theory: explaining the polity to herself. At a time when the election of America’s first black president has produced thousands of column inches, blog posts, and hours of cable-news punditry on the emergence of a supposedly ‘post-racial’ America, Shulman ably reminds us of both the persistence and costs of the trope of racially neutrality in American politics. It is, however, not only what Shulman does in American Prophecy that marks it out as an essential read for scholars of American politics and culture – regardless of their disciplines – but also the way in which he does it. One of Shulman’s central claims about prophetic criticism is that, contrary to the dominant understandings of the genre, it can open up and invigorate democratic debate in a way that brings life to the public sphere. In this sense, perhaps, Shulman’s measured tone, careful arguments, and provocative rereadings of key figures in the history of American thought, along with his compelling case for the inclusion of Toni Morrison within that canon, ultimately serve to make American Prophecy an example of the thing that it studies.

What would you expect from a guy (RED Alert on Palinsim) that went palling around with a unrepentant domestic terrorist named Bill Ayers.

Our president has a history of palling around with a wannabe Latin revolutionary, Bill Ayers, a marxists pastor, convicted felons and big time investors that all can be fitted into one nice ism and that would be cronyism.

If you take the recent announcement that Obama was sending billions to a foreign company in Brazil as opposed to an American company, you have the fix’ns from Obama’s own special recipe to make cronyism.

From Sarah Palin’s book on Palinism.

“…Today's Wall Street Journal contains some puzzling news for all Americans who are impacted by high energy prices and who share the goal of moving us toward energy independence.

For years, states rich with an abundance of oil and natural gas have been begging Washington, DC politicians for the right to develop their own natural resources on federal lands and off shore. Such development would mean good paying jobs here in the United States (with health benefits) and the resulting royalties and taxes would provide money for federal coffers that would potentially off-set the need for higher income taxes, reduce the federal debt and deficits, or even help fund a trillion dollar health care plan if one were so inclined to support such a plan.

So why is it that during these tough times, when we have great needs at home, the Obama White House is prepared to send more than two billion of your hard-earned tax dollars to Brazil so that the nation's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, can drill off shore and create jobs developing its own resources? That's all Americans want; but such rational energy development has been continually thwarted by rabid environmentalists, faceless bureaucrats and a seemingly endless parade of lawsuits aimed at shutting down new energy projects.”

One could argue exceptional Americanism took a back seat when it was learned that Obama supporter George Soros is invested in the company and in Friday’s news, Petrobras saw its highest 2 month rise on a new oil discovery.

Meanwhile, as Soros was shifting his stocks in foreign oil companies, Soros has sold 4 million shares of ConocoPhillips stock (who is involved in the Denali project in Alaska), sold millions of shares in Lowes stock and Walmart stock, good American companies.

Now consider this.

Sarah Palin had the State of Alaska invest 500 million dollars in a pipeline that would be built in part in Alaska and have U.S. natural gas shipped to the U.S. market.

While Obama is investing billions in a foreign company, Obama campaign contributor George Soros is making a lot of dough off the foreign company.

People who make up this movement of crony investors to Obama, are people like George Soros, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates. Big-time money makers and shakers in the political and financial arena and supporters of Barack Obama.

And all of them are not your typical working class, beer drinking "white" guy.

When you examine these "white" guys, interesting events unfold.

You will find George Soros finds his political and economic beliefs rooted in organizations like the Fabian Society; a society where Rose L. Martin, writing in the book, the Fabian Freeway, published by Western Islands, USA, 1966, said, in reference to Fabianism and its objectives:

"The Fabian Society consists of Socialists...the Fabian Society looks to the spread of Socialist opinions, and the social and political changes consequent
thereon..."

In an article written in 2002 by the Guardian titled, The Prophets of Profit it is stated:
"…Just one trade from Warren Buffett, the legendary oracle of Omaha; George Soros, the hedge fund speculator; or Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al Saud, the Saudi prince reckoned to be the richest man outside America, is, in the words of the Old Testament prophets, 'a sign'.

To understand the market is to follow the prophets, but their power is such that many of their movements are shrouded in secrecy. In the United States, share transaction announcements are delayed for up to six months because they spark mania bordering on anarchy.

But with currency speculation, impact is instantaneous. When on 28 June, Soros said the US dollar could fall 30 per cent by the end of the year, the dollar immediately collapsed to near parity with the euro. Soros's spokesman refused to say whether the fund operating in his name, Quantum, bet prior on a downward movement, but it's possible. Mind you, in subsequent weeks the dollar has clawed back losses. For Soros's sake, let's hope he 'covered his shorts'.

Soros has been one to rail against the presence of George W. Bush in the White House. After blowing $23 million to keep Bush from returning to the Oval Office, Soros told reporters in 2004, if Bush were to be re-elected, he planned to go away to "some kind of monastery to reflect on what is wrong with us.

Well as we all know, Soros did not go to a monastery but he may have visited one in China while he was thinking about destroying the U.S. Auto industry.

How about this gem.
“…By year end, Chrysler LLC will start shipping a China-made car to Mexico, says the car's manufacturer, Chery Automobile Co.

Still under discussion are Chery-built cars for U.S. dealers of the automaker.

The car for Mexico, sold in China as the Chery A1, will be badged with a Chrysler brand, says Zhang Lin, general manager of Chery International.”
Who took over Chrysler?

We have come to a point were we do little manufacturing when compared to years past and the trade deficit has grown.

A weak dollar was argued would increase our exports, mainly to China to offset the trade imbalance.

That never came to be. China subsidizes just about everything.

As a side to this, I have a friend from Culiacan, Mexico and she will not buy anything from China. Interestingly she buys goods made in the U.S. She states they are the best product.

On the flip side, she states things in China are not made well. The tariff on certain goods helps, but she will not buy anything from China.

And It always amazes me that U.S. autoworkers still support Democrats when you have this:

Chery cars made in China

Strong and Soros had big plans for the Chery in North America starting in 2007. They were going to flood the market and decimate Ford, Chrysler and General Motors.

The Faultlines in the US The Decline of the Dollar

The blame it on Bush crowd rhetoric as usual.

Weak Dollar Central to Oil Price Boom
However straight from the mouths of babes:

Gates joins Warren Buffett in bet that dollar will extend drop

Gates, chairman of Microsoft Corp., said he expects the dollar to extend its three-year drop because of widening U.S. trade and budget deficits.

"I'm short the dollar," Gates told television interviewer Charlie Rose this weekend at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. "The ol' dollar, it's gonna go down.

Berkshire Profit Climbs on Buffett’s Bet Against Dollar

We made one large sale last year. In 2002 and 2003 Berkshire bought 1.3% of PetroChina for $488 million, a price that valued the entire business at about $37 billion. Charlie and I then felt that the company was worth about $100 billion. By 2007, two factors had materially increased its value; the price of oil had climbed significantly, and PetroChina's management had done a great job in building oil and gas reserves. In the second half of last year, the market value of the company rose to $275 billion, about what we thought it was worth compared to other giant oil companies. So we sold our holdings for $4 billion. A footnote: We paid the IRS tax of $1.2 billion on our PetroChina gain. This sum paid all costs of the U.S. government - defense, social security, you name it - for about four hours.

Here you had Democratic supporters who in effect are Obama cronies, hedging the dollar's demise all the while, one is investing in PetroChina in hope that oil will raise in price. And another one was looking at investing in cheaply made cars in China that would be exported to the U.S.

So there you have it, Soros, Gates and Buffett, speculating on the dollar and as anyone knows what Soros' impact was on Great Britain's currency and in Russia, the rubles' decline, well that is old news.

Too bad for us that Buffett made out on the decline in the U.S. dollar while he was investing in PetroChina, a company that was aiding Darfur.

What would Americans say when you had Soros betting on the dollar's decline along with Buffet and Gates, all the while Buffet stood to gain on their pain by betting on the dollars decline and investing in a foreign oil company.

Talk about your Democratic hypocrisy. Got to love them. Soros, Buffett and even Bill Gates.

The irony of the socialist movement is, it will eventually destroy the jobs of those who support the movement.

The term "useful idiots" comes to mind.

If Palinsim is the New McCarthyism, Then Obamism is the New Cronyism (Update)

On the Eddie Burke Show yesterday, we talked about an article written by Richard Cohen from the Washington Post that was picked up by Josh Painter on his website.

First to the suggestion that Palin mirrors McCarthyism. If being called a demagogue makes you a McCarthyite, then Obama is in trouble.

And we know that Palin is not a drunk. But it can be said that editors are drunk with Demagoguery 20/20.

Now how about Obamaism being the new cronyism?

FYI: Barack Obama's top supporter George Soros is heavily invested in Brazilian oil- Petrobras. Soros made a major purchase last week before the news broke that the US would invest in the Brazilian oil company.

Nahanni says- "Follow the (Soros) money."

Update:

I will be putting the pieces together on how the cronyism with Obama and his supporters goes back to last year. The pieces will deal with Warren Buffett and his holdings that deal with the swine flu vaccine/Brazilian real estate/currency trading and Bill Gates with his past investments.

Good Morning Mr. Obama: Alaska Loves You

Make that the minority loves you.

49% Approval.... That was from January-June 2009.

Back then, he had an overall (not by state) higher approval to what his overall approval is now.

So given he has tanked even more, overall, his popularity has probably dropped even more in Alaska.

Calculated guess of course.

And last, if I am correct, I think the demographics on this polling was skewed with a higher number of young people.

WSJ: ObamaCare Is All About Rationing

ObamaCare Is All About Rationing

Although administration officials are eager to deny it, rationing health care is central to President Barack Obama’s health plan. The Obama strategy is to reduce health costs by rationing the services that we and future generations of patients will receive.

Bad news for Bloggers Hatin' Palin For Satan

News from Politico that should stir up Palin-hatin' hornets from Homer to Houston:
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has reported receiving more than a dozen gifts last year, including a gun case, a glass elephant and a statue of the Virgin Mary.

In a filing Monday with the Alaska Public Offices Commission by her attorney, Thomas V. Van Flein, Palin listed 15 gifts worth more than $250. Under state law, the former Republican governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate is not required to disclose the many gifts that she received — often at political events — that are appraised at less than $250.

[...]

Other gifts included a goatskin-bound Bible, an embroidered cross-stitched blanket, a hand-painted plate featuring Palin, two handmade Army flags and assorted jewelry.

[...]

The filing does not list any gifts that she or her husband, Todd, might have received from his snow machine sponsorship with Arctic Cat because of a confidentiality clause in his contract with the company.

[...]

But the attorney said the nature of the contract is such that the company only pays sponsorship fees for races, outfits the team with "Team Arctic Wear" and gives Todd Palin and his teammates a 50 percent discount on merchandise.

"Gov. Palin has no direct contact or communication with Arctic Cat," Van Flein said. "She has not read, and under the terms of the contract is not entitled to read, the specific sponsorship provisions, but she is generally aware that Todd Palin is entitled to the discounts and fee as part of being a sponsored team."
But wait, Arctic Cat is such an important part of the military-industrial complex, there must be something nefarious there. Have no fear, Bloggers Hatin' For Satan will surely get to the bottom of this. And even if they don't, they will make something up.

Meanwhile, House Speaker San Fran Nan, who voted against prohibiting gifts from lobbyists, bought off agribusiness with gifts to advance a climate bill. Nothing to see here folks... move along.

Then there's Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.

But that's just chump change compared to the trillions of dollars Arctic Cat must have funneled to Sarah Palin through her husband's snow machine racing activities. I tells ya, "that woman" is an ethical outrage! [/sarc]

Murkowski health-care town hall is Thursday

Murkowski health-care town hall is Thursday

U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski said she will hold a town hall meeting on health care in Anchorage from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Dimond High School. With a push from the administration of President Barack Obama, Congress is debating different ways to get health insurance coverage to the millions of Americans who lack such coverage. The issue has triggered vigorous debate about the need for such coverage, who should provide it, the cost and the reach of federal government.

I might have to take the day off to attend.

But the Department of Health advisers said ministers ignored their advice, even when it became clear the outbreak was mild.

Crist receives standing 8-count

By Javier Manjarres

It is starting to look as if Governor Charlie Crist’s highly-touted popularity with Floridians has eroded to a level that would have been considered inconceivable not too long ago. Over the past several months, Governor Crist has been convincingly defeated in statewide Republican Executive Committee (REC) straw polls by his primary opponent, Former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, Marco Rubio.

From Alaska Republican Party Research - Reports Of Public Option's Demise Greatly Exaggerated

Alaska Republican Party

"PUBLIC OPTION" BY ANY OTHER NAME IS STILL GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE

Sen. Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) Says Co-Ops Another Form Of Government-Run Health Care. "'We're going to have some type of public option, call it "co-op," call it what you want,' Reid said, adding that Democrats are working on 'some version of a co-op that may satisfy everyone.'" (Trish Turner, "Reid Says Co-Ops Might Be Public Option," Fox News's "The Speaker's Lobby" Blog, 7/9/09)

Open To Co-Ops, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Doesn't Care What Government-Run Health Care Is Called. "'We don't care what it's called. We need something that's going to keep the insurance companies honest,' Schumer said, adding that any co-op plan must also 'be available right at the beginning, have competition ... and have the strength to bargain.'" (Trish Turner, "Reid Says Co-Ops Might Be Public Option," Fox News's "The Speaker's Lobby" Blog, 7/9/09)

SO WHAT IS A "CO-OP"?

Co-Ops Would Be Funded By Federal Government. "Senator Kent Conrad, a Democrat, proposed creating nonprofit, member-operated health cooperatives to compete with insurers ... The government would offer start-up money -- Conrad said $6 billion would be needed -- in loans and grants to help doctors, hospitals, businesses and other groups form nonprofit cooperative networks to obtain and provide healthcare." ("Q&A - Co-Ops In Focus In U.S. Health Care Debate," Reuters, 7/30/09)

Co-Ops Would Be Regulated By Federal Government. "Advisory board makes recommendations to HHS Secretary who makes final decisions about approvals of business plans ... Business plans must meet governance standards, and eligible applicants must meet the standard for non-profit, participating mutual insurance." ("Senate Finance Committee Draft Proposal," 6/19/09)

Co-Ops Would Force Individuals Who Want To Join To Go Through State Governments. "Co-op membership would be offered through state insurance exchanges where small businesses and individuals without employer-sponsored plans would shop for health coverage." ("Q&A - Co-Ops In Focus In U.S. Health Care Debate," Reuters, 7/30/09)

Federal Government Would Use Co-Ops To Monopolize Health Insurance. "[T]hese co-ops sound a lot like a health-care Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which Congress created because there was supposedly no secondary mortgage market. The duo proceeded to use their government subsidy to dominate the market and drive out private competitors." (Editorial, "Fannie Med," The Wall Street Journal, 7/30/09)

WHY WHITE HOUSE IS FAKING CENTER-RIGHT

White House Open Up To Co-Ops To Fool Dem Senators Into Government-Run Health Care Compromise. NBC'S CHUCK TODD: "This is about getting folks like Ben Nelson in Nebraska; Joe Lieberman in Connecticut; Blanche Lincoln, Mark Pryor of Arkansas -- getting them on board. And a full-fledged public option was making them hesitant. Co-op will be the option that probably gets them done. And that's why the White House is allowing themselves wiggle room." (NBC's "Nightly News," 8/16/09)

House Dems Admit Co-Ops Being Used In Desperate Attempt To Pass Government-Run Health Care Through Senate. "A top House Democratic aide: 'This is just for the Senate. There is no way it passes the House the first time around without a public option. The liberals (around 100+) won't allow it. It if comes back from conference committee without public option and there is the right pitch that it is this or nothing, then it may pass the House.'" (Mike Allen, Politico's "Pulse," 8/17/09)

The Barack Obama Experiment

The Barack Obama Experiment

Government Funded Health Care Cooperatives: How Do You Score?

This idea about health care cooperatives as an alternative to a public care system, is going to find its roots in a design similar to Group Health Cooperative out of Seattle.

First things first.

Make sure you don't score poorly or else, it's sorry you are too expensive to cover.

HMO is the operative acronym here.

And then you have the makings for a huge disasters being setup in the health care arena as was done in the mortgage industry with these idiotic ideas on so called hybrid institutions.

Remember Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? You are looking at the same outcome that happened with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

In the mortgage industry you had people scored on their credit. And as such, credit was issued accordingly to the scoring.

The Democrats can take blame in that they forced Freddie and Fannie to lower the credit threshold and as a result, people were getting loans that should have never gotten them.

Now take the same scenario and apply it to a non-profit who scores are based on your health. If you score poorly, you will not be allowed into the cooperative. There is a reason for that.

It keeps costs down. Now enter congress into the equation and congress now tells the cooperative to allow people in who originally weren't allowed in because of costly illnesses.

Guess what will happen. One, the added costs will have to either be covered by the federal government putting more money in or the person who joins the cooperative, will see their costs rise.

There is already similar talk that these cooperatives would be private, but they will not be private. The cooperatives will be government run and controlled just like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were controlled.

And last, the question will have to be asked what about securties tied with these cooperative institutions?

Some have tried to equate health care cooperatives to credit unions.

Well that dog won't hunt because one, credit unions did not fall for the mortage scam set up by congress on lending money and two, they do not fall under the tight grip of congress and in the case of health care, if the cooperatives sign on the dotted line with congress, monies will only be given for changing the scoring of patients.

Obama fighting for his presidency, not reform

By Chris Stirewalt

The big question for President Barack Obama right now isn't about health care, but his own political survival.

Palin Called a Spade a Spade

By David Warren

It is assumed she will be running for president on the redneck ticket. But as we saw last week, she does not need any office to get results. For after many nice legislators had condemned her for her "unreasonable" criticisms, the U.S. Senate finance committee this week dropped a key provision to which she had referred, from the House health-care bill before them. According to the ranking Republican member, it was dropped "because it could be misinterpreted or implemented incorrectly."

That's a very nice way of saying that Sarah Palin had a point. And it is a point that would have passed unnoticed, had she confined herself to "nice" language.

There is no joy in Mudflats...

Dan Riehl reports that upon hearing the news that Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND) said the Senate will never pass a government-funded public health insurance option, and it was futile to continue to "chase that rabbit" -- President Obama...
"...was rumored to have been spotted roaming the White House in a stupor late last night searching for his faux-Greecian, paper mache columns cursing, my kingdom for a Facebook account! Woe is me, oh woe...."
Riehl says "one fast ball over the plate from Sarah Palin" and the mighty Sox Fan has fanned. Dan goes on to paraphrase Shakespeare, but we were inspired to have our way with some lines from Thayer:
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy at Mudflats — mighty Barack has struck out.

Stacy McCain's focus turns to Anchorage fish wrapper

Robert Stacy McCain has a new area of investigative interest:
"I have temporarily lost interest in Griffin and have now taken a sudden and keen interest in Julia O'Malley and her editors at the Anchorage Daily News."
There's a lot of low-hanging rotten fruit on that tree, Stacy. Just go to any pro-Palin blog, search for ADN or Anchorage Daily News and hold your nose. It's a fish wrapper which really stinks, and the stench doesn't come from the fish.

We also highly recommend that you perform the same search at the excellent McClatchy Watch blog.

A Case For Gun Ownership in Mexico and Obama has it Wrong on Mexico

I am going to tread very carefully on this thread because the photo sent to me tells me what life is like in Mexico and is very sensitive and very serious.

We have seen Obama blame the gun trade from the U.S. as a way the drug cartels have armed themselves.

What Obama and the news will not talk about is when you have a society that is not able to arm itself, it succumbs to the will of either the government or as in this case, the drug cartels.

In the photo below, you will see an automatic weapon. It is on loan to a normal Mexican citizen. Why? Because since Obama has been in Mexico, there has been a shift in the federal forces and as such, the drug cartel leaders are moving back into areas where the federal forces were.

Now you have to stop and think about it and compare the U.S. laws on gun ownership with Mexican laws on gun ownership.

Then think about how you would feel if you where being harassed and having your life threatened by a narco and you couldn't go to the local police because some in the local police are corrupt.

The person who has the weapon temporarily, did this to protect their family and theirself against a narco.

Why? Because the narco wants the wife of the husband as part of his group of other women. This is a family that is striking out and trying to make a living for themselves and they have to deal with this.

It's the same old tired argument from the left to blame gun rights as the cause of all evil, when in fact, it is the lack of gun rights that is the cause of evil to exist and the good folks not being able to protect themselves.

So when Obama talks about the flow of guns from the U.S. into Mexico, stop and ask yourself, what about the good people. What are their rights to protect themselves.

Drug-resistant swine flu cases discovered in patients in Seattle

Drug-resistant swine flu cases discovered in patients in Seattle

SEATTLE — The country’s first cases of drug-resistant swine flu were discovered in two leukemia patients in Seattle, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday.

Meanwhile, Houston we have a problem.

The only problem with this idea is that the swine flu vaccination itself has been linked to a deadly condition known as Guillain-Barre Syndrome. This brain disorder can lead to paralysis and even death in some cases. A recent letter from the Health Protection Agency details the concerns that hundreds of neurologists have with the vaccine. Only a few decades ago, in 1976, there was an outbreak of swine flu. A vaccination was used to combat that outbreak; however, over 500 cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome were reported. More people died from taking the vaccine than those who died from the actual swine flu. In addition, the U.S. government had to pay millions of dollars to the victims and their families. The vaccine was pulled after about a week and a half of use after so many problems were reported.

Now which company that produced it, should feel the effects in their stock...

This is very bad news and as I have been asking all along, who gave the WHO the seed strain to come up with this deadly vaccine.

Is Rex Butler Leading the Charge in a Custody Battle Between Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin?

Dan Riehl has this YouTube posted to his site.

In the interview you will hear Levi back off on knowing first hand of the divorce between Sarah and Todd Palin.

He states that he heard about it and doesn't have much information about that.

Someone here in Alaska knows who told Levi to spread the rumor and it has to deal with underage drinking, fishermen, sex and a trashy mouth.

An e-mail with who started the rumor, was sent out to individuals the day before the story was published in the Star. The person who outed the individual, is well known and is, at times pretty damn reliable.

The person who knows who started the rumor, their name has been sent to Outside sources.

And with Levi stating he doesn't have much information about the divorce, it clearly shows he is getting lawyer advice on backing off on what was told to him.

So where does that leave Levi? Out in the cold when it comes to a possible custody battle.

One question remains, is Rex Butler leading the charge on a possible custody battle between Bristol and Levi?

We shall see.

But some advice for Levi, make as much money as you can get, because if you keep doing the trashy talk show circuit and continue to disparage your son's family, you will need it to pay the child support.

It's that simple.

Go Flag Yourself II: Something is Really Fishy With ObamaCare

The following e-mail is a follow up to an e-mail I wrote to flag@whitehouse.gov...

From: *******@aol.comHide Add to: To Do, Calendar To: flag@whitehouse.govCc:Bcc:Date:Fri, Aug 14, 2009 11:38 pm

Dear Mr. President,

As follow up to my previous e-mail on my concern that something is "fishy" in the health care law that is labeled ObamaCare, it has come to my attention that through an online site called Online Athens, Rep.Paul Broun has stated that ObamaCare is a "rotten fish."

When I read this, I felt that I must write to flag@whitehouse.gov and notify you that indeed, something is "fishy" about the health care bill that is titled with your name.

As you are aware, our former governor, Sarah Palin has called out sections of the bill "fishy" and as such, the Senate Finance Committee in a bi-partisan fashion, has struck a "fishy" provision from the bill that Sarah Palin has called "Death Panels."

Now some in the media have scoffed at her thoughts on the topic and some in the media have equated her comments to "sleeping with the fishes."

I would like to address their concerns. Unlike what is done in Chicago or cities like Detroit (where I was born and to borrow a similar line from Sarah Palin), in Alaska we eat, therefore we fish.

And because we eat fish, there is no time to "sleep with the fishes". And because we don't "sleep with the fishes", we can pick out "fishy" things that may cause death to the fish.

Now in Alaska there are two kinds of fishermen and in attachment you will find a picture of the types of fishermen there are.

First, there are pictures of Sarah Palin, fishing. This is why she is very good at detecting "fishy" things. You could say because of her extensive fishing experience, she has a "nose" for picking out "fishy" things.

As you may know from the news, Senator Murkowski, has been in disagreement with Sarah Palin on this topic. And as you can see from the picture in attachment, she has been known to catch "whoppers" and tell about catching them.

Now some people that agree with Senator Murkowski will say that her fish don't stink.

But experienced fishermen know better. It takes time to develop that "fishermen nose" to pick out the "fishy" things.

Given that, maybe you could contact Sarah Palin and have her teach you the ropes on fishing by coming to Alaska and learn to fish.

And contrary to what Rappers (that supported you) have said about Alaska being all white..

You will fit in just fine in Alaska, as you can see in my photo in attachment...

You see, when you're out fishing for "fishy" things and the news media starts to say it's racist, they don't know what is important, because it's not race that gets the fish, it's the experienced fisherman that does.

Sincerely,

Thomas A. Lamb

Palin's Face-Off with ObamaCare Continues

Link

I join millions of Americans in expressing appreciation for the Senate Finance Committee’s decision to remove the provision in the pending health care bill that authorizes end-of-life consultations (Section 1233 of HR 3200). It’s gratifying that the voice of the people is getting through to Congress; however, that provision was not the only disturbing detail in this legislation; it was just one of the more obvious ones.

Her best yet...

Rep. Bachmann: Don't Palinize Me

Politico has a short blurp on Bachmann and the term Palinize.

Michele Bachmann is tossing around a new verb: "Palinize."

In the subject line of a fundraising pitch, Bachmann sends out a plea for money saying, "Don't let them Palinize me!"

Bachmann goes on to explain that Sarah Palin has been demonized by the left, and she quotes Sean Hannity saying she is now the "second-most-hated Republican woman" after Palin.

"With Gov. Palin taking a well-deserved step out of the spotlight, it appears that I may be absorbing even more of the liberals' scorn," Bachmann said.

But the Minnesota Republican also seems worried, as she warns that Democrats are raising "$30,000 a week" to defeat her.

Bachmann even drops in the urban dictionary definition of Palinize:

Palinize:

To smear or mock someone using falsehoods, baseless accusations or unsubstantiated character assassinations for the purpose of blocking them from achieving a goal.

To exaggerate the truth or lie by omission.

Now where did the term Palinize come from?

The term was even used here in past tense, when talking about Bachmann.

Where has Politico been on the term of Palinize? They have been doing a little Palinizing themselves, here .

I am writing as a concerned American Citizen and son of a senior citizen who pays for their own healthcare..

Something is very fishy with the proposed healthcare law.

It would be comforting to know that the passage of this legislation could wait until after 2010 midterm elections or the 2012 presidential elections.

I am grateful for the ability to report to the White House any "fishy" legislation that the Democrat led Congress is trying to implement.

Your bi-partisan efforts show you are a man of impeccable character.

Sincerely,

Thomas A. Lamb

Jesse Griffin is a Day Late and a Dollar Short

Clearly Sarah Palin has a new Facebook speech writer. But the crazy still shines through.

Yes Jesse, that would be Obama's misbehav'n teleprompter that wrote the FaceBook entry....

Grandma's hip replacement got run over by ObamaCare would make a great Christmas holiday gift.

Meanwhile, all of that clever writing Jesse displays is all-for-naught.

It seems those Death Panels will be sent to their own death... And Palin's Plan (written by Obama's misbehav'n teleprompter) is working.

Palin 1 Obama ZERO

And last but not least, Jesse ends with this beauty..

And here is a helpful tip. Sarah Palin is a compulsive liar. If she tells you something, you can bet the farm that the opposite is in fact true.

Trust me, I would know.

Jesse, projecting your personality traits onto another person is not becoming...

A Brief Reminder for Obama and His Public Union Entourage

The majority of Americans pay your wages through taxes, so keep up the getting in their face rhetoric...

According to Obama, The Clunking Economy is Behind Us

Jobless Claims Rise Unexpectedly

The number of people filing for unemployment last week rose slightly more than expected to 558,000, another reminder that despite other indications of improvement in the economy, the job market remains weak.

Retail Sales Fell in July Despite Clunkers Program

WASHINGTON -- U.S. retail sales unexpectedly fell in July despite the debut of the government's "cash for clunkers" program meant to jump-start the auto business and help turn around the economy.

UPDATE: Wal-Mart 2Q Profit Flat On Lower Sales; Shares Gain

Wal-Mart's same-store sales dropped 1.2%, when the retailer had projected a flat to up 3% showing. The figures reinforce the fact that retailers are not recovering as quickly as other areas of the economy.

Wal-Mart also adopted a conservative outlook for the third quarter, seeing same-store sales flat to up 2%.

Shares gain on poor news, makes sense...

US Foreclosure Filings Hit New Record; Up 32% In July On Year

The number of U.S. properties for which a foreclosure filing was received hit its third record in five months as they jumped 32% in July from a year earlier and rose 7% from June, according to online foreclosure concern RealtyTrac.

Chief Executive James Saccacio said that despite continued federal- and state-government efforts to put together a safety net for distressed homeowners, "we're seeing significant growth in both the initial notices of default and in the bank reposessions."

For the 31st straight month, Nevada topped the nation's foreclosure rate list, with one in every 56 housing units getting a foreclosure filing in July. RealtyTrac said that was more than six times the national average. Initial default notices in the state fell 18% from June, which RealtyTrac said was likely the result of a new state law requiring lenders to offer mediation to homeowners facing foreclosure.

Home prices fall a record 15.6%

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Median home prices fell a record 15.6% during the three months ended June 30, compared to the same period in 2008, according to an industry report.

There is good news though: The survey from the National Association of Realtors reported the median home price rose 4% compared to the first quarter of 2009 -- to $174,100 from $167,300.

The only reason it rose slightly is because of the bidding war that is going on with foreclosures.
