BREAKING NEWS: McCain's Hail Mary

Now since I am a Catholic I have license to say it and I have to agree with the MSM this time.

Picking Governor Palin was a "Hail Mary"

Why, because I remember Catholic School and I wore one rubber boot to school in the rain thinking Mother Superior would let me attend school if I had at least one rubber boot on. Well it wasn't good enough, I had to have two, so I was sent home.

Well come to find out, divine intervention has taken place in a place where I grew up; Macomb County Michigan, the heart of "Reagan Democrats".

Sister Maria Fatima said her order -- the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist -- doesn't usually get involved in politics. But she and about 40 additional nuns came from Ann Arbor to the rally Friday, forming a distinctive cheering section in their white habits.

"We're here because we'd like to support Gov. Palin. We're so excited she's on the ticket," the 23-year-old Fatima said, citing Palin's strong anti-abortion views.

We Catholics know better than to mess with nuns.

There's a difference between a "Hail Mary" and the "Long Bomb." The former occurs as time is running out and either you're desperate so the high risk-reward play is your only option. The latter is a flashy calculated risk play used when the defense has the wrong defense or players on the field and they're obviously not expecting it. You can open up lead or not, but either way, there's still time to recover.

Which scenario does the Palin pick sound like? I think she's The Bomb.

Joe, see http://www.rightmichigan.com/story/2008/9/6/9550/27427

you will see the sisters.

I got a chuckle out of the fact that the nuns were there. And latest Zogby shows McCain gaining big grounds among Catholics.

Michigan is McCain/Palin

Playing off the press's criticism and thier "Hail Mary" schtick of the pick by throwing it back at them.

That will teach them.

Palin is the bomb, she is a hail mary, she is a breath of fresh air, she is many things to many people.
