When it Comes to Religion, Governor Palin can Learn A Lot From Playing the Sidelines

First, there was John McCain riding shotgun with Juan Hernandez in Mexico. And what did they do? They take a political photo-op at the Shrine of the Virgen de Guadalupe and anger Mexicans because the Mexicans see it as a political stunt.

Then you have this from Our Lady of Washington

A day before receiving the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s highest honor –the “Margaret Sanger Award” – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton paid a visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, leaving a bouquet of white flowers “on behalf of the American people,” and asking the basilica’s rector, “Who painted it?”

In response to Clinton’s question, basilica rector Msgr. Diego Monroy responded, “God!” The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was miraculously imprinted by Mary on the cloak of St. Juan Diego in 1531.

It takes two baby, it takes two.

You would think the brilliant duo would understand the Mexicans when it comes to the Virgen de Guadalupe since they are always trying to get their vote. Evidently they don't know, to Mexicans, the miracle is a very serious matter and they don't take mocking the shrine or ignorance to the miracle lightly.
