Is Obama the "Powers that Be" on Stopping ACORN Hearings

In today's news Conyers came out and said hearings are off on ACORN.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. has backed off his plan to investigate purported wrongdoing by the liberal activist group ACORN, saying ?powers that be? put the kibosh on the idea.

It must be Obama, since Conyer's wife has today, plead guilty to bribery. The nudge from the Obama administration to Conyers that he could be next, would be enough to stop the hearings cold.
