The Washington Post Forgets There is a Hispanic Firefighter Who Didn't Get a Job

High Court Rules for White Firefighters in Discrimination Suit

It seems the Washington Post, in their headlines forgot that there was a Hispanic firefighter who was left in the cold by Hispanic Sonia Sotomayor.

The writer for WaPo tries some creative writing:

The city had thrown out the results of a promotion test because no African Americans and only two Hispanics would have qualified for promotions. It said it feared a lawsuit from minorities under federal laws that said such "disparate impacts" on test results could be used to show discrimination.

The city did not throw out the results because "only two Hispanics would have qualified for promotions".

The city had thrown out the results because African Americans were the ones who were going to file suit.

Once again the writers at the WaPo seem to be racists by playing the race card and diminishing the efforts of a Hispanic firefighter who was part of the victory.

So now that Sonia Sotomayor has her racist decision thrown out, the Hispanic firefighter who was denied a promotion based on race, can have the chance to succeed based on his efforts.
