For many Alaskans, the election of Barack Obama in 2008, was a sign of bad times for Alaska.
The Obama administration's decisions to end retirement benefits going to Alaskan Natives who served in World War II, was just a hint at policies that the administration was going to implement that would have a negative impact on Alaska.
Under the Obama administration and a Democrat majority in the House and Senate, the federal government's grip on the personal lives of people in Alaska, will be tightened through environmental policies that will hinder resource development on federal lands and will reduce Medicare/Medicaid payments and care through the eventual passage of Obamacare.
Unfortunately, until 2014, we Alaskans will be left to the will of Alaska's U.S. Senator Mark Begich, when it comes to siding with the current majority of Democratic Senators.
