Biden on Hillary: May Have Been Better VP Pick

Biden on Hillary: May Have Been Better VP Pick

NASHUA, NH — Joe Biden defended Hillary Clinton at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire, telling the crowd that the New York Senator would have made an excellent Vice Presidential pick for Barack Obama.

“Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be Vice President of the United States of America,” he said to one man who said he was pleased that Obama chose Biden over the former First Lady because of “the things she’s done in the past.”

Biden, who told the crowd at a Boston fundraiser this morning that he’d refused Obama’s request for help during his primary battle with Hillary because of his long friendship with her, disagreed with the Clinton criticism.

“Quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me,” he said with a grin. “I mean that sincerely. She is first rate. So lets get that straight.”

Biden’s New Hampshire visit was his since 2007, when he ran for the Democratic nomination. The Delaware Senator dropped out of the presidential race before the New Hampshire primary, after finishing behind Barack Obama, John Edwards, and Hillary Clinton in Iowa.

There are rumblings around the internet if these comments made by Biden are a prelude in he stepping down and letting Hillary take the V.P. slot.

The comments made by Biden are interesting and at this point may reflect a patronizing attempt to the base of the party which are white women.

The Republicans should seize on his comments by drawing a difference in the media questioning MCain's pick of Sarah Palin and being silent on Obama picking Biden.

Hmmm. Which to choose? Biden, the dullard Washington insider chump, who wasn't vetted enough, or The Billary, the most hated and corrupt woman in America, who wasn't vetted at all. Yet they criticize McCain for choosing Palin, the most competent governor and loved woman in the U.S. Sheeesh!
