The Future GOP brought to you by John McCain

It is interesting what has taken off with Senator McCain's anouncement of Sarah Palin as his V.P.

First I will say that McCain's legacy will be that he brought the GOP together and he has given the United States a future president Sarah Palin.

I found this letter today from the Salt Lake Tribune. The headline says it all.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin are young and inexperienced. No job can prepare a person to be president, but how Obama and Palin rose to their positions shows their character.

Challenging incumbents can be a career-ender, but Palin blew the whistle on corruption in her party, and voters made her the youngest governor in Alaska's history.

Obama got his start in Chicago, where politics are extremely liberal and who you know is everything. He launched his career in the home of former terrorist Bill Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground organization, which bombed the U.S. Capital. He sat in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church for nearly 20 years and said nothing. Obama befriended political radicals to launch his political career. Only after entering national politics did he criticize Ayers and Wright.

The contrast between Palin and Obama is striking. Palin rocked the boat of her own party, evidence of courage and a solid moral foundation. Obama navigated the political waters of Chicago without a ripple; his moral compass points to the White House via the path of least resistance.

All I have to say is, Thank You Senator McCain for keeping America secure....
