From the Reno Gazette Journal on Plain's visit to Carson City, Nevada. http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080913/NEWS19/80913022/1232
An estimated 10,000 people were waiting at the Pony Express Pavilion in Carson City to see Palin at 6 p.m., according to Carson City Sheriff's Office estimates. However, only 3,500 will be let in to see Palin speak in her first Nevada campaign stop. Everyone else will have to be content with watching outside the pavilion on big screens with amplified speakers.
How were the crowd numbers handled in the L.A. Times?

Palin, greeted by chants of "Sarah, Sarah," spoke to about 3,500 people for about 20 minutes. She was interrupted frequently by cheers and applause. And she led the audience in the now-familiar refrain: "Drill, baby, drill."
An important fact left out by the L.A. Times is that nearly 10,000 people came to listen to Sarah.
If my memory is correct, Obama spoke to people in Germany with big screens and amplifiers. But no rock concert or free food with Palin's crowd.
Note to the MSM, keep it up, you are digging your own grave.
