WASHINGTON — The compromise economic stimulus plan agreed to by negotiators from the House of Representatives and the Senate is short on incentives to get consumers spending again and long on social goals that won't stimulate economic activity, according to a range of respected economists.

I hope this is the death of the the two party system, Republicans included. "How can you say that?" Well, Republicans didn't represent my most of my views when they were last in power either. They became Democrat lights leaving me without a clear choice. We need a party who will remain loyal to conservative ideas even when they are in power. If the Republicans want to come back home to that, then I might reconsider. They are going to have to fight hard.
