The five dealers, which are all part of NAMAD, received noticed from Chrysler a few weeks ago demanding that they close their doors by June 9. NAMAD president Damon Lester says the elimination of Chrysler dealers has a disparate impact on minority dealers. The court documents that were filed revealed that Hispanics, Native Americans, African Americans and Asian Americans dealerships are being reduced by 15 percent, 22 percent, 27 percent and 32 percent, respectively.
Again no specific names, just figures. And the figures that have been put forth by Lester and blogger Jeff Fortson, do not add up as was previously shown from news reports.
Suprisingly, 5 out of the 7 Asian dealerships I found (so far) are closed. This would follow Asian dealerships being closed at a higher rate.

What is interesting is who filed with the bankruptcy court alleging mistreatment.
The objection was filed May 26 by Harris Beach PLLC of New York. Named in the objection are Webster Chrysler-Jeep Inc. in Rochester, N.Y.; Union Dodge in Garden Grove, Calif.; Metrolina Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge in Charlotte, N.C.; Southland Chrysler-Jeep in Southhaven, Miss.; and Crestmont Chrysler-Jeep LLC in Beechwood, Ohio.

(Metrolina) SOUTH CHARLOTTE CHRYSLER JEEP Reginald T. Hubbard Closed - Facing felony charges for not paying taxes from his Honda dealership - African American owned.
WEBSTER CHRYSLER Randolph Henderson Closed - Chrysler sought to close his doors last year. Henderson filed suit claiming racism - African American owned.
UNION CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE Charles Lee Closed -Asian owned.
CRESTMONT CHRYSLER JEEP Jay J. Park Closed -
Another interesting fact - On the National Association of Minority owned Dealers website, when you look up Michigan, Irma Elder is not listed under Chrysler dealerships. And you have Chrysler dealership listed twice on the NAMDA website which would raise the number of minority dealers when in fact it is the same dealer at the same location.
Case in point: California - Alhambra Chrysler is listed 3 times -Livermore Chrysler Jeep is listed 2 times - Clippinger Chrysler Jeep is listed 2 times ....
On the closing list, Livermore is listed only once.
In other news you had union members picketing minority owned Landers-McLarty Ford Jeep dealership.
