Sarah Palin's Waterloo: John McCain

I have been critical of Sarah Palin's decision to endorse McCain and with good reason.

Palin should have held her endorsement unless McCain had made some heartfelt changes on his stances.

He hasn't and if he does, it won't be because of Palin, it will be because polls show Hayworth close and given what is happening with the Tea Party movement, McCain will move to the right because his political life will depend on it.

I have stated McCain will be Palin's Waterloo and if Hayworth enters the race, Palin will be done politcally.

There are those of her ardent supporters (c4p) who say they have her back and choose to not criticise her. They do Palin no service.

Here is why....

Sarah, THAT’s a big mistake!

John needs to retire and WE need J.D. Hayworth in there!

I think that’s wishful thinking there Mac..he said “She will come to Arizona I’m sure” Yeah Mac, keep telling yourself that. I like how he defended her, but when he said that on the bottom of the article I knew why he said it..pitching for an endorsement there Mac

It seems Sarah Barracuda is in denial since it was Palin who has come out with an endorsement of McCain.

To: rabscuttle385
I hope that she doesn’t. If she does, there goes my support for her.

This is why McCain has avoided trashing Sarah. He is a smart old snake, but a snake nonetheless, and once he has nothing to fear from Sarah, he will turn on her. If Sarah has any commitments to McCain, she should do the right thing, and stay out of the primary squabble. JD is much better for America than McCain.

Perhaps it is not a mistake if she is just a poltiician like the others.

The parenthetical in the thread title is misleading, as it implies SHE said she would campaign for him.

In fact, HE says this, not SHE.

Typical denial.... Again.

To: ChrisInAR

After being treated so badly by McCain and his staff, Sarah will NEVER campaign for that RINO. If she does, everything she said in her book “Going Rogue” will be a lie.

exactly, didnt John McCain himself refuse to elevate SP as a prime candidate for 2012, preferring instead to lump her in with Mitt, Newt, Huck, etc

SP needs to figure a way to stay out and let the AZ voters sort this out. If he wins, she campaigns in the fall for him

McCain had nothing to gain by trashing his own VP pick. He let his underlings do that. As for her campaigning for him, it doesn't sound like it to me. She certainly owes him nothing after the way his punks treated her.

Not a chance in hell would she do that.

She knows by now what America
thinks of RINO McLame AND
his pukey leftist daughter.

Campaigning for McCain will not a mistake by Gov. Palin. It will be classy
No the "classy" think to do is to stand up for principle. The politically/calculating/amoral thing to do is to back McCain.

First of all, I am sick and tired of being called a “Worshiper” I worship NO ONE but God..and secondly, he NEVER said she would campaign for him, he said “I’m sure she will” that doesn’t sound like she will, because if he was SO sure of it, he would have said it differently, sounds like he’s hoping she will.

Let’s hope the Republican nominee is JD Hayworth, if he wins, Sarah will campaign for him. She will campaign for whoever the nominee is, lets root for JD Hayworth!

A continued denial by Sarah Barracuda but hoping JD Hayworth is the nominee...

To: Petronski
“In fact, HE says this, not SHE.”

” he may even invite her to Arizona to help him campaign for re-election to a fifth term.”

Yes, it sounds like wishful thinking on his part.
Of course Sarah would never say this, but I expect if invited she might repeat to her hubby what Eleanor Roosevelt said to FDR about Joseph Kennedy:
“I wouldn’t urinate upon him if he burst into flame.”*

The gist of the majority of the commentary is Sarah would be looked at unfavorably..

Now to you kids at C4P, keep thinking you have Palin's back when you don't. You folks at C4P are amatuers when it comes to knowing politics.

So when Palin isn't wearing clothes, those of us who know better and have seen Palin grow through the years, we will tell her she isn't wearing clothes...

Meanwhile, grow up...

I think this is SP being loyal... to a fault. Her best bet would have been to not endorse; of course, the narrative then would have been that she is a disloyal ingrate. She's damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. I'll have to trust her impeccable instincts on this one.

I could make a list of blog comments of people that agree with any angle of anything. This is hardly useful.

And besides that, even if you don't agree with the Senator 100%, who do you really agree with all the time? I'm certain the answer is nobody. Nobody has a more effective voice in this country against Obama than John McCain.

I am a supporter of Palin who disagrees with her endorsing McCain. She should have stayed away from McCain. I think she just did it out of respect for him. Endorsing McCain doesn't ruin her though either. I don't think it is that big of a deal. I still dislike McCain.
