Russian Flu Might Provide Immunity to Swine Flu

Russian flu might provide immunity to swine flu

The current strain of H1N1 swine flu is genetically similar to Russian flu. Dr. Mermel speculates that individuals old enough to have had exposure to Russian flu might carry some degree of immunity to swine flu. The weeks ahead will test his theory.

The World Health Organization said the H1N1 was not man-made.

However, on this website it was pointed out that the H1N1's origin could be man-made here, here and here.

Nice to know that the WHO is putting out information that may not be correct.
